Unobtainable liveries

Post by sandy »

I cant ever remember seeing a RTR loco in North British Railway livery Era 2. I am hoping some body is going to tell me I an wrong because I want a couple. I think I am going to have to repaint a couple of LNER locos to satisfy my needs. That is if I can find a model which fits the bill.

That should keep you occupied building one of those.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions but now I am into my 70s with old eyes and hands I am not into building loco kits nice though they are. I will get a suitable LNER or something that looks the part and have it repainted NBR livery.

I haven’t tried building a loco but do build wagon kits, even with my very dodgy eye, very enjoyable.

I don't think I have the time left for all that I must concentrate on finishing the layout. Thats just the way it is Brian

I agree Sandy. A wagon takes about 4 hours but some of the loco builds I see on another forum take about 4 years.

Have been poking around the net and I think I will try and find a Hornby J36, trouble is they only made 500 of them, after I have paid for our new sofa in February and Christmas. If I have any money left. :D
