Re: WEST ORTON
Once you have finished Barry and me will come up with another idea.
Nurse, the screens!
Re: WEST ORTON
Great job as usual Steve - certainly looks the business and all comes together nicely with the detail that you already added.
Re: WEST ORTON
I was right Steve - they look absolutely spot on, a great job. It would be a real shame to cover it all in corrugated cladding, I’d fancy a semi derelict look.
Appreciate the posting of the step by step construction, I’ll be taking a few ideas from that, thank you.

Re: WEST ORTON
Not sure how yet, but I hope to make a corrugated shell that just sits on the trusses but lifts off to reveal the grime underneath.
But first the lights.

Re: WEST ORTON
Steve. Someone has pinched more than the lead of the roof.
Seriously. Really well done.

Completed the lighting but have yet to decide if the ‘fluorescent tubes’ will be removed or not.
The lights are made from small steel washers ‘domed’ with a ballpein hammer with the head of a rivet glued inside for the ‘tail’. Prewired SMD LEDs complete each fixture which is then soldered to two brass rods that run the length of each roof.

The main roof cladding has been started using South East Finecast sheets cut and glued into lengths. The ridge is a strip of foil from a disposable serving tray with a suitable bend down the middle. I did try making one section from individual panels without success and had to fall back on one-piece sections. ,ay be able to do something to represent individual panels with the airbrush when I paint it.
