I like the idea of having a different colour at the edges, hadn’t thought of that.

I have some Hobbycraft brown and green paint, I’ll experiment later.

This is what I mean by using a light brown to colour the plaster then applying a relatively thin static covering. If you go with a darker shade it will possibly overpower the grasses.
