Any tips for cheap guttering and downpipes?
Re: Any tips for cheap guttering and downpipes?
They look pretty good and seem reasonable value for money. However, it is the guttering I am having the biggest issue with. I am going on holiday next week so I will try and frequent as many bars as possible to collect suitable size straws.Steve M wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 10:30 am Also have a look at Scale Model Scenery - they do various detail bits on their website.

Definitely half round Plasticard, or similar make of product, is best.

I use plastic packaging that house bits you need to snip out. They're already curved at each end and once filed, cut and painted look ok

Yes, these bits are called sprues and very handy for down pipes and other scenic items where water/oil/gas transport might be required. I've got a huge box of sprues for just that purpose (Never throw anything away lol)davidrivett wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 8:44 pm I use plastic packaging that house bits you need to snip out.
