Lydham Manor Problems

I bought the 00 gauge DC version of Dapol's Lydham Manor and it's a lovely looking model - not quite sure about the shade of green. However, it will not run over points, Peco or Hornby, either facing or running through - the front pony truck derails on most of them.

Sent it to DCC Concepts who checked back to backs and also fixed the loose buffer and coupling hook and, despite their best efforts, it still won't perform properly. It runs well over their test track with express points but I really don't want to redesign my layout to accommodate them.

Having spent £140 I would expect it to do what it should. I am tempted to return it to Rails and ask for a refund under the Sale of Goods Act. Has anyone else had similar problems with their Manor?
