There was a SpaceX launch this morning at about 8.10am (GMT) - the fortieth launch this year.

Fascinating, first time I've seen the actual deplyment of satelites. Bit scary the number of them up there, 72 on this flight alone, some look like washing machines LOL.

Initially they are launched into a relatively low orbit before being boosted to a much higher one. If you’re in the right place at the right time they can be seen in low orbit looking like a string of pearls passing overhead. Seen them once a couple of years ago.

Anybody watching the live EVA on the Space Station. Two astronauts have fitted new solar arrays. Amazing.
