Abingdon and District MRC 50 Years - ABRAIL 24
Abingdon and District Model Railway Club (ADMRC) is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024 with a first ever two day exhibition. ABRAIL 24 will be held on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd March 2024 at Abingdon and Witney College. Layouts confirmed include"Overlord" and "Museum of Transport". Extensive trade support is lined up and further details will follow soon.

This is just to say that my Chinese HO layout, BEIJIAO, will be at this show.
BEIJIAO is set in NE China in 2001 at the very end of mainline steam and was inspired by our many visits to China to photograph the world's last big steam action.
For those of you that haven't seen my layout, we have two priorities at shows -
1) If you want to learn more about China's railway network as it was in the early part of the 21st century, we will be happy to chat to you and pass on our experiences.
2) If you just want to be entertained, we provide non-stop action across three main lines and an industrial railway.
Here is a recent photo. The red and yellow diesel is held at a signal whilst a double-headed steam hauled tanker train snakes across two crossovers and heads off down the main line.
