My Birthday

#1

Post by cadman »

Can't believe I've reached 82 but it's not such a Happy Day due to severe lower back pain acquired whilst pruning an apple tree last week. I'm also very disappointed that I was unable to join Brian (WTD) at the MK train show on Sunday and meet Barry and Steve.
Recent good news was that I have at last been listed by Cardiology at Harefield Hospital to have a Mitral Valve repair in about 6 months. I get so out of breath these days doing simple jobs. Been waiting 3 years for this, Covid set the clock back severly. So happy days ahead.
Sorry I'm late but I couldn't get my flip-flops to work

Many Happy Returns Howard. Sorry you weren’t able to make it on Sunday - maybe next year.

Happy Birthday Howard. Sorry to hear that things are not so good healthwise, but it sounds from what you say, progress towards better health is coming. Sorry not to have seen you on Sunday, as Steve says "may be next year".

Howard, hi, I have just pruned 6 trees ,aged 80. I have come across a new tool, made by Stihl. It’s a pruning saw, with 6 inch chain, and 12 volt battery. Cuts up to 4 cams. Absolutely wonderful. Don’t know how I managed without it. Worth a look, perhaps.

I replaced two security lights and pruned four twigs and have now knackered my shoulder. I’m only 66. :?
