No not painting an aircraft but a painting of an aircraft.
At the beginning of the month the Guild of Aviation Artists did an sale where you paid £35 and received an original A5 size painting. You didn’t know what you were getting until it arrived.
This arrived the other day. Very nice.
I hadn’t heard of the artist so looked him up. Turns out he painted all the box illustrations on the Matchbox plastic kits.

Indeed - very nice. Would you mind if I sent that over to Hornby? Or do you want to contact them? No doubt they will be fully aware who the artist is but just in case. R-

Re: Aircraft painting
Is Matchbox part of Hornby?
I just thought it was interesting to get an original painting from such a well known artist. I hadn’t heard of him but he is pretty famous according to Google etc.

No problem. I’m just going to roll the ball in and see what happens. Can you tell me the name of the artist? R-
