Good job its not seen much use, wheels are nice and clean. only 70 dollars too.

Very nice - I looked at one of those when I was in a model railway shop in Florida - luckily common sense prevailed :(

i have the same loco, Brian. Also the challenger, its cousin. Mine runs ok, but not very quick. From investigation, with Rivarossi, they were not quick, when new. They prefer to keep them on the rails, perhaps. Paid about £100 for mine, in France. It runs quicker in reverse, also confirmed with Rivarossi. Looks good on layout. Tis DC, only. Not tempted to convert it.

Class 35 Hymek by Hornby, I'm guessing 1980's vintage. Intact traction tyres, which is good, as it is quite light. Haven't the nerve to fire it up yet, but expect to try it this weekend. Hope it's not another shelf queen.
