What a shock! Their final sale is 35% off - running now on their website. R-

Yes indeed. Model railways are now an extremely expensive hobby.

I received the email too. A bit of a shock when one of the biggest model railway suppliers closes its doors. It must have been a very difficult decision to make.

I agree Brian. Far too expensive and more and more technical.

Have been waiting for a long time for the MR Genesis coaches, pre-order a while back , how unfortunate I expect we will not see these now.

EDIT: found some info on the website. Batch 2 will become available which include the MR coaches, batch 3 have been shelved.

Came as a big of a shock when I received the e-mail.

I remember them from the 1970s when I think they used to sell second hand Hornby Dublo stock among other things.

With prices going up all the time it does make you wonder who will be next.

Can I ask please if anybody is experiencing any problems on the Hattons website.

I have just been trying to have a look on there to see if there are any bargains available and none of the links are working.
