Well actually, I prefer the “amber” ales such as Doombar, Tribute etc. I mentioned pale ale as that was all I could see online following Steve’s post and Black Sheep. I’ll look up Frosted Jack though although the ABV might be a bit much for me - I’m still learning. R-

In this part of the south east there are many pubs where they no longer serve bitter, only pale ales that cater to the taste of soft southern jessies.

If you’re in the north east (just over the North Yorkshire border) try Three Brothers beers (based in Stockton) and Guisborough Brewery (obviously based in Guisborough). Both do recommended brews, often served in my social club.

Not going that far north this time but we’re back next October and usually stray up to Durham and Barnard Castle so I’ll look out for them.
