Hi all,
I have a Hornby Class 55 St Paddy loco. It's quite basic, so I have decided to make it a bit more realistic, so painting panels, ect. However I would like to add led lights to this, starting with the main headlamps. So to start with on each end there will be 2 main beams As in the image I have posted here. I have bought some led lights 3v (warm) and also I have plenty of resistors as well. I was thinking of creating a little circuit board and then wire them to these. Does anyone know of a definitive guide for this, I have an idea how to do, but there is always bound to be a much better way. Or if there is a book someone could recommend. Many thanks in Adavance. Richard

Re: Adding Lights to a DCC Loco
Hi Richard - Have a look at Illuminated Models site. I cannot see that he does a kit for a Class 55, but he does appear to sell a number of "bits and pieces", which might be of help. He also has a number of YouTube videos regarding installations - might be helpful?
This is not an Illum.Models video, but it's a fairly comprehensive "how to".

LaisDCC.com make a LED resistor board ready to solder the wires to.
Sorry I'm late but I couldn't get my flip-flops to work
