Last weekend I spotted a too good to be true loco for sale on Facebook Marketplace. But I thought it worth a gamble.
I contacted the seller and agreed to send a payment via PayPal - it's was only £38 so not a big gamble to be fair. But I did use the PayPal option for goods and services.
As of today, nothing has been received in the post and surprise, surprise the seller doesn't respond to messages.
Obviously a scam with no intention of supplying the goods.
A quick message to PayPal though and I received a full refund so no harm done.
Just proves that if it seems too good to be true it probably is a con.
