Hello all,
Can someone tell me what these electrical pieces are. On the Dutchess of Montrose I believe the white bit is a radio suppressor? What would the black piece be ?.
On the second photo of the motor what would the round orange piece be?.
Many thanks in advance.

The black piece is a choke https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choke_(electronics) and the orange one a suppresser.

Re: What are these
The brown component on the motor is a capacitor and its purpose is to suppress the effects of sparking on the motor commutator. The black component will also be a capacitor and based on the age of the model and the appearance of the white component I would suggest it is an inductor. Both these components act as a filter for RF suppression.
Are there any markings on the components as these would confirm the above?

Thank you Gentlemen, about the only markings on the black item appear to be CC but that could be partials of other letters worn away.
