Your latest acquisition
Re: Your latest acquisition
I picked up this beauty at the Port Sunlight model fair yesterday for a very modest price of £90.
The loco runs very well and is a very nice addition to my fleet.
Within the body she was fitted with this
As I do not run DCC it is therefore surplus to requirements. If anybody is interested in the decoder please PM me your details and I will send it within the next 1 or 2 days as I have a few things to do aswell. I do not want any money for the decoder.

Re: Your latest acquisition
Strictly speaking I should not be buying any more locos, and I certainly have enough, but the lovely colour just appealed, I was going to wait for the new release, but when this came up S/H described "as new" I couldn't resist, and TBH "Duchess Of Gloucester" is much nicer sounding than "City Of Lancaster" She is the 2017 release version, R3682.

That looks very nice. It would appear you can never have enough locos. You think you have enough but it is a not so.

Nice looking loco.
I know what you mean about never having enough locos!

That is fantastic Steve. I have had one of those on my wish list for years. I'd like a big one as well.

Yes Rog, a Flexispeed MK1 - very mini, about 16" long.
If nothing else, it gave me an excuse to clear some crap from the garage to make room for another of my rolling cabinets to house it in (the glue is drying as I type ).

"Not very stable, but incredibly versatile."
Re: Your latest acquisition
I always wanted a miniature lathe but never had the funds for one or the space to park it or the knowledge to use it. I did look at some of the modern ones but SWMBO vetoed it on very sensible grounds that I would never use it. Poor excuse in my opinion.
