That wiring is much simpler than what I've been looking at today. :?

Thanks Brian and Steve - not sure the end is quite in sight yet. I have managed to get rid of a lot of wire. I am still waiting for a particular power supply from DCC Concepts - been on order since May - once this arrives I can start building a new control panel.

This just arrived in the post - I saw it and thought why not :o I even managed to intercept the postman before he knocked on the door. It was described as "as new on ebay" and the outer box still had the tissue wrapping - a Bachmann Club Special from a few years ago. BR Standard 9F 92214 in the 2014 livery on the GCR - the real loco has now been re-painted in un-lined BR Black.

I misread your post Barry. When you said it is now painted black I thought you meant the model.
