Hello all,
Been watching the ebay overseas pricing rates to here in AU. Some are normal and reasonable but one in particular has me amazed. Peters Spares is crazy at something like $85 AU. I haven't bought anything form this seller for a while and at this rate probably won't again at this pricing. I know its not Peters fault or intention and flound him to be very helpful when I did buy from his site. Mostly my purchases are for smaller parts sometimes only a few dollars but it sure does blow out with that sort of postage.

If you want an item from Peters Spares, why not buy directly from his shop rather than through Ebay?

Good suggestion. That never entered my mind it should have as I do buy direct from time to time. Put it down to brain fade and old age.

It's not only a good idea, it can be cheaper to buy directly. I'm only 30miles away so sometimes even pop into the little shop - and leave with more than I need!

We have very few train parts sellers here in AU and rely on ebay a great deal more than we should. Its easy enough where the UK seller has a shop front and so easy to track down but not so good if he is a smaller ebay seller only as ebay don't allow personal information like emails or home addresses or contact phone numbers. I suppose for good reason of privacy and security I would imagine and plus ebay would loose a sale.
