The switches are not too bulky, and can be placed in any position, as only the button protrudes through the panel, they have a Hornby decoder type plug to which the lead is attached. I'll have a play.

I am still planning my point control panel. I have managed to get all point switches into a 400x250 space. It's a bit cluttered, but the other option was to go to a 500mm wide panel, which would mean giving up a lot more desk/bench space, which I am loathe to do. I still need to give it a bit more thought. :(

9F 92203 Black Prince with its new Fox Transfers brass etched name plates. They look much better than the one's supplied.

Much better. One of my purchases last year had the printed additional plates rather than etched - hideous things.

The final rendition of the mimic panel. The layout plan will be etched onto a sheet of white acrylic, and all holes for point motor buttons will be pre-drilled. Panel will be 400x256mm - which has made fitting all of the buttons a little tight, but hopefully it will all go according to plan. The picture shown is on a sheet of A4, so is only 80% of full size.
