Change of colour means she is on the mend John, but in the meantime best wishes to her for a speedy recovery and to yourself for ducking and weaving until you get the scissors replaced.

Buy a really cheap, usually Chinese, set as a standby. I find them to be sharp and very good value.

RAF, thanks, if i dont replace, it will be me ducking and weaving. Rog, sound idea. May be quality sissors, dont cut gauze.

Rob, hi, thanks, Have those sharpeners, which normally work, will have another try when off nursing duties, Thanks for other post, Will sort out a new pair, At the moment, playing glasses, as lens badly scratched, and H has wafer thin lens due to weight, lens come from Germany, or Japan, at 600 euros a time. Hoping scratches will polish, but not optimistic.
