What I want to know is why he went all the way to Benidorm to spend New Year in an English pub. Seems bit of waste of money to me. Could have done that here and without the Lager Louts...........
When I used to work the trains, every summer we would see a large group of Llanelli people going to Tenby for the day. Probably about 25 to 30 people a time. Now on certain turns I would not only take them there but bring them back near the end of my shift. They were a little drunk on the way back. I asked them if they had a good time etc which they had. I asked it they went over to Caldey Island... No... Did they enjoy the sea? Looking at each other they said they had not seen the sea. Puzzled I asked "Then where did you go?" "To the pub" came the reply.
Still puzzled I asked "What is wrong with thw pubs in Llanelli? Why spend money on a train ticket to go to Tenby? Is the beer better?" "Beers the same" came the reply. "Why go then if you are not going to see the beach or thw sights?" I asked. "Its our holidays. We wanted a different pub!" Every year this went on and the group got larger and larger... They would go to one of the pubs in Tenby and spend the whole day drinking which I found so puzzling when there were plenty of pubs in their home town! Nawt queerer then folk I guess!

I suppose it’s nice to collapse in a different gutter once a year.
