Hi Chops - I'm happy for you to plagiarise whatever you like. The back retaining wall was the Metcalfe kit with ground up charcoal applied with a paint brush. I like the Bachmann walling but to do a good length would be expensive. BB

The Redutex road sheets arrived today from Spain (direct from Redutex) - three packs cost £33.00 including postage, and were ordered on the 13th December. A bit more expensive than priced in the UK, but as most of us know, it's rarely available. Redutex had everything in stock. If you want it, you have to pay for it. The road surface has both man-hole covers and kerbside drain covers embossed into the road surface. They even sent me an emailed Christmas card! I'll post a picture once it's laid - not a priority at the moment. Barry

As I mentioned earlier, I will not be laying the road surface just yet, but when I do I will need some good pavement - any recommendations? The Metcalfe pavement looks to much like bit of cut-up card, Scenecraft do a grey pavement, but again it's just printed on card. Redutex do a sheet that is described as Tarmac, but again, not quite what I want. Not much came up via Google.Barry

Not quite what you are looking for but I found some laser cut paving (slabs rather than tarmac) on eBay for my N layout. I think the company was called ‘in the greenwood’ or similar..
Looked quite good once painted to look like yorkstone.

I was in Hobby Craft yesterday when SWMBO spotted this - Reindeer Moss. It was available in natural (dead?) and green - only £2.50 a box. Ideal for small bushes etc.
I was actually in there to buy a pack of very small drill bits - and found they sell replacement packs - 5-6 x 0.08 and 1mm packs at £5 a pack.
