Which Do you Prefer?

#1

Post by Pannier Tank »

I am on he verge of buying a 70xx, 7033 Hartlebury Castle in O Gauge from Master Piece Models. My wife is from Hartlebury and we were married in the church there. I also have very found memories of many a visit to Hartlebury Castle, all of which is by the by.

I can not decide weather to have the single or double chimney (fitted in July 1959) version. Been in a discussion with Mrs PT over which one 'we' like the best and still undecided.

Which one do you prefer the look of?

I have OO models of both but think I prefer the single. The double always looks better when it is shorter. Well I think so.

EDIT: But having said that...........sod it, get both.

From what I have been told they 'went' better plus were better to drive and fire.

Yes but you’re using electricity not coal. I think the County looks better with a double. See who else comes on here and abide by the majority decision. Or then again maybe not.

To be honest you only need one kidney.

Flip a coin. They're both good lookers.

I much prefer the single. It is more "Great Western". It looks more in proportion and beautiful.
