Re: Your latest acquisition
Hello Brian,,,,,,,,,,,, I waited untill I saw 7178 Little Blue Engine,, before answering you about the colour. I did not expect it to be quite so light blue. Now it has arrived it is the correct dark blue I thought it was. The photo was well over exposed. It also turned out to be brand new and a wonderful slow runner. I was quite surprised as it was made in 1976 I think. They were the days. I was still a photographer then Working for Wallace Heaton New Bond Street. ..............
If only there was enough hours in the day..................John

Re: Your latest acquisition
I have just ordered (can’t wait for this thing!)
A ransomes & rapier 45 ton crane!
Now if this thing doesn’t get your attention you may well be blind........
It is available from Osborns models in n gauge.
You have three options;
Gwr grey (my choice)
Br black
And red (I assume oxide)
A picture will present itself in due course!

Re: Your latest acquisition
I think it is more likely to be buffer red type of colour rather then oxide red... However time will tell when the put pictures up.AviatorAtHeart wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 12:48 pm I have just ordered (can’t wait for this thing!)

Re: Your latest acquisition
It’s about £130
As yet undisclosed.....
3d printed.....
Ready to run.....
Hope it goes under the bridge......
Articulated jib. (Up down only)
Wonder if it’ll go around my curves?
Still, it will be a beautiful and ideal solution to not yet having a clue about building n scale raf hangers!
That’s why we have a crane here!

Re: Your latest acquisition
Yes it is.
If memory serves me correct,
A small section of track was laid within the perimeter fence to help facilitate the construction/enlargement of the aerodrome But was removed upon completion.
However I can find no pictures.
The airfield/railway share a fence, and, the enlarged airfield actually crossed the lines.
With double (wing sized) crossing gates.
