Be careful, not all cards are the same. To capture HD video you would need one with a fast write speed (assuming this camera is able to match it), else you may get frame drop-outs and the result will be "jerky". Some cards may only be suitable for storing files eg photos where read/write speeds are unimportant.

I read with interest this post and did not know about these cameras and how cheap they are. Why you can use it for a while and if it goes wrong through it away and get new one for a fiver. Ordered one earlier. Thank you BB

I had a keyring video camera many years ago. Very small and very good. Only trouble was it was so small I lost it
Very easy to use and would easily fit on top of a loco. Just connected it to the PC after filming and download the video. Not sure if they still do them or how they would compare to the SQ11 for quality.

The SD card arrived, installed and a short clip filmed, but it won't play back - screen says "This file isn’t playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt".
I'm not familiar with putting discs in my laptop - does it need a driver?

Barry, you may need to format the card first either in the camera or attached to the pc.
What file extension do you see when you attach the camera to the pc and open file manager?

"Not very stable, but incredibly versatile."

I have now formatted the SD card - however in doing that it erased the video clip - it said it would. I' ll do another clip and see how I get on.
Thanks Steve - I've not used an SD card on this laptop - only had it a few weeks.

I have done another video clip, but am still getting the same message. Am I missing something?
A word of warning - when fitting the card into the camera, there is a small slot either side but inside of the main slot which takes the card - miss these slots when putting the card in and the card disappears into the camera, and it is a bu**er to get out - be warned.

Card formatted and message said confirmed done - It says it's an AVI file?
