New SQ11 Full HD Camera (1920x1080)
Re: New SQ11 Full HD Camera (1920x1080)
That’s a fairly standard audio visual file - I would have thought Windows Media viewer would work with that.
You could try opening it in Movie Maker.

Try VLC media player. Haven't found anything yet that it won't play. https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-w ... en-GB.html

That worked Rog. I've watched the footage, but now can't find it. The picture was very grainy, which may be my fault as I turned down the room lights so as to show off the platform lights. I'll try again tomorrow it normal light. Thanks for the help.Rog (RJ) wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 10:20 pm Try VLC media player. Re: New SQ11 Full HD Camera (1920x1080)
May I ask please. I ordered one of the little cameras and then went to buy a Memory card for it and found a Kings ton 32 G one mini with adaptor for£4.50 on Ebay .........My question is when getting a memory card does it matter what cad you get for photography or just data use. Reason I ask is there were lots of cards 32G even from the same manufacture but the prices varied from very cheap (what I paid £4.50) to very expensive. Why is that. I thought a memory card was a memory card. Do you get better results by paying more for the cards..........I used to be good at photography but that was when a camera had film in it, I understood them. Now my new Nikon I still don't know what some of the buttons do. .John

I can't help you there John - I paid £5.66 for a mini 16gb card. Probably could have got it cheaper, but the one used in the original clip shown in post 1 used a 16gb so I bought that. Whether 32gb is any better who knows. At the end of the day this camera etc is a novelty item - Camera and SD card about £11.00 if it works - fine - if it doesn't it's not the end of the world. I took a photo with the camera this morning, pointing out of the back door, it was of reasonable quality, but not as good as my iPhone. Doesn't a 32gb card give you more storage? I won't be storing much on this card. Barry

Nothing to do with Gb, that is the size of the memory eg 32Gb wil hold aprox twice as much data as 16Gb. As per my earlier post, what you should be looking for is the write speed especially if you are recording video. There are many variations and classes of SD memory, the cheap cards are more than likely too slow to capture the frame rate of the camera.

Yes I know that Terry,,,,,,,,,,,,,, My question was asking. Noticed that you can buy say 32g mini cards for £4.50 ish and also some cost as much as £35 what is the difference. Are the more expensive ones intended for photo use, and the cheaper ones intended for data. Just wondered. John

Re: New SQ11 Full HD Camera (1920x1080)
John, video requires the fastest because it is being continuously fed frame after frame from the camera. Still photos are not so fussy as the data is a finite length and may be buffered in the camera. Regarding whether cheaper cards are any different to expensive ones you must check the specifications. Personally I would always stick with known makers such as Kingston or Samsung, but even they make slower cards so always check the specs and see if they claim to be suitable for High Definition recording. Hope that helps.

Thanks Terry ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,The one I bought was Kingston because for years when I have ungraded the computer with Kingston memory and never had any trouble with that.
I noticed today when looking at list of memory that the one I bought was Class 4 and have seen others class 10 which I assume means they are faster reading speeds. Bit of learning curve these SD cards. Will do bit of reading.......... Thanks Terry............................John
