Now we've had Simon Kohler's announcement that Hornby are moving back into the old site. The temporary closure of the visitor centre makes sense.

Ahead of the short closure from Monday, the HVC are holding an 'ex-display' event this weekend.
Not a lot available that I don't already have so just a few additional RR coaches purchased.

However, in the main shop I did pick up a brand new J36 with a slightly damaged box at a reasonable price.
The memsahib will kill me when I get home.

And do you still like my avatar?
Can I just make out "Blanchflower"? Must be a Spurs fan then ;)
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

Never in a million years TWD!

My avatar used to be a shark - referring to Footplates description of eBay sellers. But after Brian’s comment in post #8 I was downgraded to ‘bloater’, hence the bloater paste lid. :D

Went today. Not much as you say compared to previous sales. Nearly purchased some Intercity coaches, but changed my mind at the last minute.
