Re: Southern Way West
Short History.
I originally joined the forum back in 2013 as Southernfan, intending to start my layout later that year. Some 5 years later I have been able to get going.
I have a dedicated railway room (approx. 8 x 3.5 meters) in an out building that I have managed to upgrade to a safe and dry place. My original plan for the layout was to base it on Ilfracombe, and have a small scale representation of Exeter Central, Exmouth Junction shed and a tiny version of Waterloo. But my vision for Waterloo grew and grew when I started adding more platforms and track to the plan. The layout so far is just Waterloo (still under construction) and the approach to it (see pictures) I will later add my version of Nine Elms shed that I had constructed over winter months. Despite not being able to start construction before this year I have enjoyed building Kits and Scratch building buildings for the layout over the past 5 years.

Re: Southern Way West
There has not been much work done on the layout since the first flurry of photos, an invasion of field mice meant I had to clear out all the clutter from the railway room to eliminate them some, 17 mice later I think that the problem is now over. but I have been able to continue work on Waterloo Station and hope to download some more photos before Christmas.

It's all coming together nicely.
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!
