The Talbot in the previous photo is the Singer to which the words also apply about never getting it running.

My Talbot was like this - same colour as well...Hillman Minx 1147cc side-valve engine with a Stromberg carb to gee it up a bit.

They made such beautiful car in those days RAF. My mate and I in the 50s in the summer holidays used to out with note books spotting old cars from pre war times. We made our own fun ........John

I remember I was given one of those early Corsa's as loan car from the garage. My head kept hitting the roof because it was to low. or the seat was to high or sometime. Whatever, Most uncomfortable thing. Driving that car always stuck in my memory. Was glad to return it.
