Not Sea Furys BB, the nose wasn’t streamlined like those in the picture, look like Seafires although I thought the wingtip folded as well on them, although the earlier versions didn't.

Bit like modern Trains and Locos. Not as interesting as the old ones were. Least I dont think so.

It is. I sailed on board her three times. All prior to her 'call up' for the Falklands Campaign.
She has a special place in my heart.

Glencairn
In my late teens I had a conversation with that ship as it passed by. It was a slow conversation done through morse code and a torch. I was learning morse code. I had noticed that it was regular for boats in the area to be signaling to someone in my area. I tried to signal back but they didn't seem to be using morse code. Found out later they were trying to signal to someone up here as they were bringing in drugs. They were later arrested (How I found out what they were up to as it was in our newspapers). The only boat or ship to use morse code was SS Uganda, which is why I remember it so well.
Years later I was with a train driver and I recalled SS Uganda and he said he was on that ship as it was used for training naval troops. I have never until now seen a photo of the ship. It was the only passing ship to signal back to me. I had put a 3.8v bulb running from four D cell batteries to get my torch bright enough to signal (Tried a lower voltage but they blew) and had put a little push to make switch alongside the standard switch so I could signal. I had a boys book with me thag had morse code in it, so had to quickly look down after every letter to find out what it was.

My other hobby Fly fishing.
I caught this 6lb brown trout last year in Rescobie Loch about 2 miles from where i live.
Being a member allows me to fish the loch at any time and take 4 fish, i normally fish twice a week with the "senior" members, breakfast and copious amounts of tea also allows us to put the world to right before we go fishing!

Never tried fly fishing, I should have a go. Do a bit of coarse fishing when it’s warmer.

I've always fancied fly fishing - with the River Test close by!! There are some lovely youtube videos of fly fishing on the Test. A nice day, your own company, what could be better - I wouldn't even worry if I didn't catch anything. I used to go course fishing regularly in my youth.
