I’ve done a fair bit of DIY plumbing in the past but it never looked as good as this.

Great bit of pipe fitting well clipped and easy for maintenance of valves and pump.
Our pump and control valves are in the "pantry" under the floor, when the floor is lifted whoever is working on them blocks out the light from above!
This guy put some thought into the layout before he started.
Give that man a pat on the back :D

That reminds me of the boiler I installed in our house in Pantyffordd in 2003 it was one of the most complicated domestic plumbing jobs ( All in 20mm oil fired, not combi) had done in years. Because the boiler was under the stairs and had to run it all to link up to the copper cylinder in the airing cupboard on the landing. Then all the pipework had to be boxed in and hidden. Great joy. Those were the days Could not do it now.

Dodgy plumbers - I seem to attract them.

When my loft was converted many years go and before the walls were panelled out a new larger water tank was installed and the numpty plumber ran all the new pipes diagonally across the new floor to drop down to the boiler cupboard. He had been recommended by a friend who got it in the ear from me afterwards. The pipes were rerouted but he had the cheek to say it would cost more.

When the council contractors installed CH to my brothers house many decades ago they ran radiator pipes at ankle level across a doorway. You couldn’t make it up.

You should see the tangle of pipes under the sink in my holiday lodge, no room for anything else in there. The water filter had to go in the boiler cupboard, but its not as neat as Brian’s cupboard.

My son was lucky he was starting from scratch. He is renovating his house, new heating, wiring, you name it he’s changing it. All his mates are in the trade and he has put heating in most of their houses so now they are paying him back. The most amazing bit was the plasterers. I don’t know what plasterers charge but what ever it is it isn’t enough.

At my last house because the central heating system had been altered at least three times by the previous owners and was a maze of imperial and metric pipework, the simplist thing to do was strip it all out and start again. I stripped it there was just a stub of pipe coming out the floor where the stop cock was. I replumbed the lot and installed the boiler, I got a registered gas man to do the gaswork and commission the boiler, I even cut up all the pipes for him so all that was left was to solder them. To my horror he was about to turn the gas on when I noticed one joint had not been soldered did not have him round again!

Plasterers ....LOADS A MONEYYYYYYY/............

I had a plasterer in our house in Wales and he managed to get more on the floors than on the walls. I cant believe RAF your plumbers doing things like that. Had you upset them.
