An acknowledgement symbol or thumbs up to a post
Would be really nice to have an acknowledgement symbol or thumbs up to a post so if someone answers a post you could just hit the button to say thanks. I'm sure PHPBB has this sort of add-in. Some forums even use similar to score the most helpful contributors. It's just a nice quick way to say thanks. "Only an idea"

It does add the fun aspect. I am not sure if all sites support the idea or not. Its one of those things that some people love and others don't, as some use a likes rather then reply. Having said that, to see ones post liked does show that it has been read. I like the idea myself, but at least we have these...

If there was a like button, I would have liked the OP.

Re: An acknowledgement symbol or thumbs up to a post
Although posting a new thumbs up is OK it is nice to directly tag the actual post with a like, clever, or informative symbol as seen on other forums.
What is not available on any forum is the ‘complete and utter b*ll*x’ symbol, which unfortunately some responses are (inviting trouble here).

I know another forum would benefit from that one.
