What good deals have you seen on mobile phones

Now i realise that many will use your phones in different ways. But i am using a mobile provider called
https://www.1pmobile.com/ now, i'm a bit of a chatter box on the phone & like many friends we can chat for hours. But also forget to redial on a landline after 59 minutes, or you get charged silly money from BT.
With 1p mobile, you get charged just that. 1p per text, 1p per minute on a call. 1p per meg/data & so on. It's even the same calling from anywhere in the EU. The only thing you have to do is top up every 120 days with £10 & if you have anything left from the last top-up you always keep it. As i don't use all my call top-ups, it cost me around £30 a year. Which i think is good value & a real simple site to use..
Anyone else got any good deals.
PS: They only supply a sim card.

I've got an EE payg sim card that costs me £1 per week but dont think they offer it anymore. £30 pa sounds good value.
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

Laugh! The 2 sim cards i have with 1P are both EE Not sure if you get a choice of provider with 1P.
Oddly enough, I had a smart meter fitted the other day & they used a roaming sim that's connected to about 4 providers & it uses the one with the strongest signal at the time of sending readings back to base. Be nice if they did this with phones.

My best recomendation I have in mind is.......I save a fortune every year by not dialing mobile numbers and not having a mobile phone at all. Well that is not true I do have one which is only used for emergencies like car breakdowns or on holiday somewhere and looking for some where to stay for the night.
But manage to sort that by stopping outside hotels and asking. So dont need phone for that much. My phone is years old and I believe it goes on the net but I would not know how to or want to. Good old BT land lines are cheaper and while I am on the subject I dont have to waste my time phoning people who dont answer there phones because they cant be bothered and set it to message only. If you got a mobile phone dont be rude to people. Answer them. Instead of just putting the thing on messages. :x I hate Mobiles...........................John

I wish I could block the calls I get from Indian voices saying theyare from BT doing some scam or other buy BT tell me they cant stop them doing it from outside the UK I think thought they dont want to stop them because they are making money from the calls. They are all at it I am sure you do answer your phone Brian......... Wel done Brian you are one of the few honest Mpbile users.........But lots use this rude answer phone trick. It is the norm these days. That is why if somebody does not have proper phone number they dont get my custome. Tyuff............I hate Mobiles Brian.. Simple as that. Why should I wast my money ringing somebody just to listen to a recorded message. Rude it is nothing more nothing less.

Got to admit that text & emails are great as you are not disturbing anyone. Plus my ones only cost 1p for any type of contact. I also subscribe to Planet Talk & get calls to anywhere in the world for 1.5P per minute from my mobile, 1/2 hour call for 45p. Cheap way to contact a few friends that moved abroad.
Ya don't get that from BT.

John, as long a number comes up on my land line I can block it.

Collectors I find texts extremely useful. I can contact my kids when they are at work without disturbing them and more importantly my sister. I don’t like calling her in case it is inconvenient but a quick 'can you talk' text lets her know I've contacted her. Even my old mum who died last year age 95 used a mobile all the time, so it’s not an age thing. Seeing her texting was something to behold.

I cant do that on mine , Brian...I must get a more up to date phone. These old bakerlite one with the braided cord you have to hold are getting out of date a bit. :)
