Went to this in Milton Keynes today.
Had 47 trade stands catering for all scales, and 32 layouts in the
main scales.
Some very good layouts, a few that looked good but not
a lot happening apart from round the back out of view, (just my opinion) and
some that had to be operated from in front so the operator hide the layout from view.
Access was very good as was the ease of parking (lots of spaces).
Was very busy first thing in morning, but later in the day the crowds
eased and you could get round and see things better.
Overall had a very good day out

Re: Great Electric Train Show
I was there and met Cadman. Thought it was very good. As Davreb said a few layouts working to timetables, all very well unless the next train isn’t due for 10 minutes. There were a few exceptional layouts and enough trade stands to keep everybody happy.

I spent an enjoyable couple of hours there yesterday in the very amiable company of WTD. Most of the layouts were very impressive and Trade support was excellent with all the major retailers & Hornby offering a broad range of products........It will be at this venue again next year ......HB
Sorry I'm late but I couldn't get my flip-flops to work
Re: Great Electric Train Show
Spent a few enjoyable hours there this afternoon. I agree with several of the points above, it was smaller than I expected and while there were 2/3 outstanding layouts (Loftus Road, Oakley Green, etc...) the rest were good but not a lot going on and certainly not a lot of movement on most of them.
Trade stalls could have benefitted from selling something other than rolling stock, there was very little in the way of scenic supplies to be had.

Well I thought it was very good and don’t agree about the scenic products, there were loads. I’m sure I didn’t see some stands properly due to the number of people. Not a small exhibition and not too big.

I've just watched a couple of YouTube videos, and as has been said, there were some impressive layouts.
