The place to share your Triang or Hornby 0-4-0 models in their various forms.
This is a fun thread but also includes various conversions and scratchbuilds using parts from Triang or Hornby 0-4-0's. Whatever version you have, even a straight out the box factory standard version, it will be fun to see your models.
I will make a start. A 7mm narrow gauge conversion from a Hornby 0-4-0 saddle tank loco.

Re: The Triang & Hornby 0-4-0 Loco Thread.
The York and District Gauge O group have just installed 16.5mm and 19mm gauge circuits on their test track. This has prompted me to look at doing something with one of the Hornby Collector's club models that I have cluttering up my attic! My initial thought is possibly a model based on one of the Ffestiniog Railway's England Saddle tank/ tender 0-4-0s. plus a couple of 'Bug Boxes' . This will have to wait until after all the building work here at home has been completed because all the contents of the cupboard under the kitchen sink and the cupboard under the stairs are sitting in a heap on the conservatory table which is where I usually do my modelling!

A nice project. The great think about the bug boxes is that you can hide large wheels in there to save cost, as small wheels do tend to cost more. Mind you, Peters Spares do sell smaller 10.5mm wheels and while they are not cheap, they are certainly less then other makes can be.
Loco wize. Either a budget Hornby 0-4-0 or a Bachmann basic budget 0-4-0 is ideal as a donor locomotive.
