I'm a fan of high speed aircraft, cars, boats, motorbikes etc but I'll say again - putting a jet engine of this size on 4 wheels to see how fast it can go it is utter, utter nonsense and a complete waste of time and money.....there is no technical benefit to the world whatsoever.....just take a Tornado and cut the wings off, will do as well......all that money could have paid for a bullet train or two for HS2....... ........HB

Fully aware of that, TWD, but it is just irritating that someone with so much money and ambition should waste it all on a meaningless project. So a jet engine on wheels can go 1000 mph! So what?....... .......HB
