Welcome to the friendly forum. You've made a good start there. I use a mix of things to weather with (bad English apart). I use washes of artists acrylics (cheapo ones), chalks, weathering powders and the like - in fact anything I think will work. Always try out on some scrap first or an unobtrusive area of your model.

The church looks great especially as it's scratch built.
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!
