Speedy recovery MG...................... Last time I had something like that was when I cut off one of my fingers sorting out an RTC on the A127 Essex. They made a wonderful job putting finger back on in St Andrews Hospital you cant even see the join any more.
When you wake up you wonder what all the fuss was about don't you. :D
If only there was enough hours in the day..................John

Thanks guys. I am relaxing as instructed. Was just a few teeth removed though I had to wait a few years before I was seen to after finding hospitals removing me from their lists without letting me know... Was seen by a private specialist who takes on NHS work instead.

My local dentist couldn't remove them as I had been having issues with adrenalin and throat issues etc.

Our local practice nurses say 'just a scratch' as they stick in a needle more suited to an oil well than my tender inner elbow. I keep telling them to just do it without saying it as I'm not all that keen on needles and as soon as they speak I tense up.

Once, while at a blood test I nearly went over the 6 hours car parking ticket as I was half fainting out. Was only about half hour to hour and a half wait for the test, but after an hour (Or thereabouts) of not being able to get up they took me to A&E to recover from there as they needed the cubicle for other patients.
However, more recently, as long as I don't look and think in my mind that it is just a thorn from a bramble (Which happens now and then living in the countryside) I am ok. Last few times I have neen good.
Having needles in my mouth did not concern me. It was the stuff in the injection that made my body start to shut down. I was told it is the adrenaline.

Haha. I can imagine their panic... We've not finished yet! I woke up in a different room and heard two ladies talking that I didn't know. I tend to rely on voices as I sometimes get face blindness. It was confusing. I heard the voices chatting away before I could open my eyes and I couldn't sit up for a while. I thought I was at home in bed and "Why are there ladies in my bedroom? What's going on?"

Why is it when we sleep we expect to wake up at home in bed.....
That always confuses me.

Being a Diabetic I am now quite used to being pricked, injected and having various fluids extracted so no fear of needles here, except the one occasion when I needed an injection into a shoulder joint. I must admit the thought of a needle scrapping along bone or cartilage did have me worried, but I seemed to strike lucky on getting a good darts player and never felt a thing. When it comes to extracting blood they can only find veins on my right arm so no chance of me ever becoming a junkie :D

I had an op on my right leg while on holiday in Tazzie, the guy removed a bit of my leg 100mm long x 40mm wide x 25mm deep, after a few days he needed to clean up the wound a bit so i got a local anesthetic, they guy with the needle set up an ultrasound just below my right knee and i sat and watched him put a row of 12 injections from left to right under my kneecap. I then went to theater and the surgeon did his stuff while i watched him, I never felt a thing :!:
That was 3 years ago, it was not possible to have stitches the wound has finally healed.
