4WD, Diff Lock I think so.

I think I can remember you saying some time ago you had some land other than your garden is this to sort that out Brian .
My neighbour has a nice new tractor, it is a John Deer stands about 10ft high and about 16ft long. and pulls a 10 farrow plough with it . Not sure how many farrows but it is big, He does not use it for shopping though.

Great learning curve for me WTD. I’ve had to look up nearly every TLA and agricultural phrase used. Have you driven it yet? R-

I have a john Deere, but not in same league as the WTD one. Mind you, it was a fifth of the price of a Kubuta. She who must be obeyed, gave me a tiny budget.

I have several pairs of trousers I no longer need should anyone feel the need to alter their marital status.

The land mentioned isn’t mine, it is 40 acres of medows recently registered as the UK's second largest village green. I am one of the trustees and help keep it in good nick. We have hundreds of trees, lots of grassland, loads of blackthorn and blackberries to keep tidy and safe. We also have laid paths using scalpings. 80 tonnes arriving soon so the bucket on the tractor will mean less bad backs. Tractor hasn’t arrived yet.

All I can say is, well done Brian, and all that help to do all the work.
It is a good thing that there are people around who care and are prepared to give their time up to help. Well done Brian and all those who help do it all. Not only that I think it will help keep you fit. Nothing better than keeping fit doing something you enjoy as well. I expect you all get a great feeling of satisfaction when you look at a completed section thinking we did that.

It is good fun and very rewarding except when you trip over a bramble and fall into the blackthorn, as I did today.


If we hadn’t got hold of this land it would now be covered in several hundred houses.

I've been clearing brambles recently. More to do as yet. A useful plant in the right places, but can quickly grow. Lovely blackberries to be had from them.
