My preferred varnish is from Vallejo. An easy to use acrylic that can be brushed or airbrushed easily.

Have noted that Steve and must say I have been a bit frightened to use varnish since the Humbrol incident which ruined a tender for me. Thanks Steve

I am a recent convert to Vallejo as a result of my exploits with the airbrush (I have another fine tipped version on order from China - all of £6.50!!!!).
If you do decide to try their products, have a look for Coulsden Models on eBay - very reasonable prices.
