hi they are older models service sheet 84a for r041 I believe is the one for my loco.As a newbie the loco I purchased from ebay to gain experience of servicing and repair
The problem I have is with the wheels .
Before I bought it the bands on a couple of the front and back wheels I believe came loose and have been refitted and not very square .
I wish to remove the wheels and refit the bands square hence my posting .Are they just pressed on the shafts
What should be used to fix the bands.
I hope this clarifies the information I am
thanks
john

Do you mean the metal rims that attach to the plastic centres or rubber traction tyres that fit to some of the metal rims?

From what you have stated the rubber bands are called traction tyres, you do not need to remove wheels to fit them, as WTD says a picture or model no would help people to give you the precise info.

You dont normally have Traction Tyres on both front and back wheels on an 0-6-0

If the metal tyres have come loose you can stick them back on with super glue or I prefer Araldite. Araldite stays workable for a while for adjusting them correctly. You must clean the wheels free of grease and oil first. Best to remove the motor and dip clean the whole chassis.
