I went straight to N gauge as it offered the chance to have star bigger layout than I could have had with OO. It's a matter of personal choice at the end of the day but if space is an issue, you can do so much more in n gauge.

N gauge can give a lot more scope but old age can cause problems. My old dad spent more time trying to get things on the track than running trains.

I briefly contemplated N when I cam back to the hobby 5 years ago but age plus deteriorating eye sight (i'm in my 70s) led me to OO. The costs etc. are about the same but the small scale would make modelling and scratch building difficult.
