I went straight to N gauge as it offered the chance to have star bigger layout than I could have had with OO. It's a matter of personal choice at the end of the day but if space is an issue, you can do so much more in n gauge.

N gauge can give a lot more scope but old age can cause problems. My old dad spent more time trying to get things on the track than running trains.

I briefly contemplated N when I cam back to the hobby 5 years ago but age plus deteriorating eye sight (i'm in my 70s) led me to OO.
