Netflix, in my opinion is ok for films but some of their ‘originals’ are exceptionally good. I’m now trying Amazon Prime. Seems to have a better choice of programs but you pay (reduced rate) for some of their films.
There seems to be some duplication between all three suppliers so once I get used to them I reckon I will be able to drop part of the Virgin bundle (I don’t have their films anyway) and pick up what I want to watch from the other two.
I did also have NowTV but only while Game of Thrones was being shown - closed it down after the final season.

We only have Netflix as long as it remembers my sons password.

We have both Netflix and Prime. have to say I prefer Netflix simply because you can create profiles. Therefore SWMBO and I have our own Oldies profile to which we can add and be suggested films we might like. That prevents us having suggestions and films added about horror which seems to be our daughters thing right now.
With Prime there is the danger that you could end up watching something you might pay extra for although that hasn't happened yet
As for the quality of the films available they are both ok. As for performance we get a better streaming service from Netflix than Prime, but then our Broadband is slow around here, we're only just getting used to running water and electricery

We only watch Prime films that have the Prime sign on them, they are free. Not just films of course, documentaries and TV series.

Many thanks for all your views and suggestions. We have to give it some thought, but I'm certain we will do something. As I said originally, we have BT Landlines and BT Broadband, and I have say they work perfectly - as we are with BT we get BT Sport for £7 instead of £16 - and I do watch a fair bit of football - especially midweek. You do find that if you start adding up the providers individual packages - broadband, landline, TV and mobile phones, it does start to mount up and does get close to what we're already paying. It's not causing us a financial problem, but it does seem stupid to pay "X" when you could get it for "Y". Gas and electricity are up for the next review!

Have a look at Bulb or Octopus for gas and electricity. Can't speak for gas supply - we don't have it in the village but both of them invest in renewable electricity sources, have a 30 day rolling contract and no exit fee. If you go the Bulb route let me know. I am about to go back to Bulb and I will have a referal code that I can send to you. It will get you a £50 discount - used to anyway - when you sign up and pay the first bill. R-

I had they same as you,BT for everything except mobile which was EE . After much research I changed everything to EE and Apple Box which saved me about a fifty pounds a month with all what BT gave me including BT sport and and gold and land line plus an extra 5 gig data on my mobile no brainier . The annoying thing about all this is that BT own EE .
Set up was easy and all work as advertised the only thing I haven’t got now is facility to record programs but I’ve found it’s not necessary as all I watch is on catchup for free. I forgot to mention EE even paid £50 for early BT cancellation fee.

Having just changed both of our mobile phones, we have not made up our mind about the broadband/landline situation, but having been caught in Morrisons by a Scottish Power rep. we have reviewed the Gas and Electricty supplier, and having been with SSE for years we have moved to Octopus - supposed to save me £400 on current usage - we shall see.
