What do you mean our day out disappeared. We cancelled it because we did not think it was a good idea going on a train ( unless you have to ) with corona virus going around.

Don't know about good business. It is a rip off. And more control should be brought in to stop that sort of thing.

The problem is we shall be prevented now for a long time from doing so many things. One of the safest places to live right now must be in the Scottish Highlands locked up in a stone castle.

When I cancelled a trip with UKRailtours several years ago I got a full refund.

I can’t say I’m too worried about self isolation. We can still take the dog out and have phones, TV, internet, gardening and books to name just a few things. I feel sorry for those on their own who don’t have these things. So just make the most of it.

I’m sure everybody can get help from someone.

They dont do full refunds any more it seems. Unless they change their policy. This self isolation is OK in the most part for us but one problem I have had is buying home deliveries from ASDA and Tesco. For some reason when I try to buy things they say payment not authorised. Phoned our Bank who say it must be the website because there is nothing wrong with our cards or account. So today we had to go out for food. Our cards work on every other sites and place we use them. Just bought things from B&Q no probs.

Very odd. I shall give my contactless card to who ever gets a bit of shopping for us. My wife can go to the shops assuming she doesn’t get the bug.

Two things wrong with that. All cards are for the of the named person and it is an offence to use someone else's card as a result.

But even if they don't check that it's Mr WTD rather than Mrs WTD or Mr WTD's neighbour, there is still the £30 limit and that the repeated use can ask for the PIN to contend with.
