I saw those on the list, was tempted with some other items as well but refrained as I have been bitten by the sound bug & need to add sound to quite a few loco'sHound Dog wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 9:42 pm Well - thanks for the link...... I bought a pair of Bachmann Bogie Well Wagons complete with boiler load for £30 inc postage, so that seemed a reasonable deal to me....... think they will bring something unusual to my layout getting pulled by a green diesel with a brake van in tow.

Re: Ellis clark, sale
There were a lot of models pretty cheap, most seem have been snapped up by posters on another forum. I believe it was a collection of models they acquired rather than the stock from a model shop which explained the Hattons exclusives in it.Brian wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 6:37 pm So, not the retailers title as originally described! (# Yelrow, You probably need to update your Hornby forum comment too!)
I for the life of me can not see any sale prices? No Sale headings of old price V sale price! All that is shown via the link is their retail prices which seems quite normal in some areas and higher than usual in others! Some of the items are quite old models and some are labeled as Hattons items? Am I missing something here? Nothing I'm afraid to tempt me either. Shame really as have our March Fred Olsen cancelled cruise money refunded and its burning a hole!!!
Re: Ellis clark, sale
there were a lot of pages, to start with, and the one i bought, clearly said ex model shop stock. As mike said, many had gone by the time, i woke up to the fact that the prices were very reasonable, and they do all have 6 month warranty from company. All the Hornby sound locos, have the locksound decoders, from what i could see. Curious about the Hatton ones. However, Marklin, Trix, offered a considerable, reduction on normal prices. Of course, it wont suit all, but i checked many prices on ipad, whilst perusing on desktop, and thought they were cheap.
Re: Ellis clark, sale
In addition to this the shop went online on 24th April after they announced it live on their Facebook the same day. So I'm expecting a lot of items had already been sold quickly.

Boiler Bogie Wagons arrived this morning and as I had hoped, they look pretty good behind a Green Diesel in my opinion...……..delighted with purchase and service, and would not hesitate to take advantage of opportunistic bargains on this site.

It looked as though there was a bit of confusion over what John (yelrow) had originally posted regarding Ellis Clark. There is a notice in the June edition of Hornby Magazine. Basically, Ellis Clark Train have launched a brand new website for it growing pre-owned business - clarkrailworks.com The new website will focus purely on sales of pristine high quality 00 gauge models covering ready-to-run and kit built items. Clark Railworks will specialise in selling models which have been test run only or have never been taken out of the box. Hornby Magazine - June 2020.
It will probably be a site you have to visit regularly if you want to get a loco in pristine condition - and possibly at a bargain price?
