Caution... I would contact the seller before purchasing... Reason is...The product description states

110 volts is not acceptable in the UK, we are 230/240volts If you look at the image where the On/Off switch is shown, the enlarged view also shows the rating plate which also clearly states 110 volts.

Now it may be they have used blurb from elsewhere and the images are not of UK stock, but heed the warning and double check the product is rated for 230/240 volt operation

Well spotted Brian, I did not read down that far just looked at the Amazon description and the fact it had a UK plug

Yeah I'm sure those coming from reputable UK suppliers are of course 230/240 volt. As I said, I suspect these sellers are using information and material from other countries.
Never the less, its of serious concern that a major UK sales group - Amazon, are showing photos and giving details of items that are not suitable at all for UK mains power. They should get their act together and improve the text and images! caveat emptor (Buyer beware) comes to mind!

I am glad you mentioned the voltage thing, i never even checked that part of the description, i just assumed it`s on amazon so it`s ok! I will check more carefully in future.

A heat gun is useful for all sorts of jobs around the house such as heating sticky stuff to remove from items, soldering plumbing fittings, undoing heat gun glue, drying stuff like airbrush paint ,

Obviously Common sense needs to be used, “”king hot !

I use the thing for all kinds of jobs especially removing PVC plumbing fittings, loosening bolts where I cant risk a flame- all sorts of jobs
