Just received from Metcalfe this evening in response to a "When are you opening?" message...
We are currently running “Flat Out” in production to try and increase stock levels, however we will still have some kits out of stock when we do re-open. We are also completing building works on the warehouse, laser room and despatch area, unfortunately due to the lockdown this has delayed the process and does mean we physically aren’t able to despatch any orders.

We are working towards an August re-open, date TBC. We will of course let all customers know when we are re-opening via Social Media, Metcalfe Models Newsletter and via our website. We do want to encourage people not to phone us to place orders as this will only delay us in processing on-line orders due to the number of staff we can safely have working.

We can only apologise for the delay, but unfortunately we had no choice but to remain closed to enable a safe working environment for our staff.

We wish you all well, stay safe, and we look forward to welcoming all our customers back soon.

I saw this whilst searching for advice and remembered this thread. Might cure the fixing and lighting questions at the same time.
