Don't forget that price includes the controller ( for two units) allowing the user some choices on how to have them worked, DC or DCC,
but yes, a tad dear but if one considers the SS size and what the controller provides compared to Peco side mounted solenoids- neat but no contacts.
I guess also on how many one needs, I wouldn't like to use them , the SS units on my layout with over 70 turnouts...
