Price for the Stanley range from £17 to £23 depending on walking into the shop and picking up to having it sent through the post.

Dremel not less than £38

I have brought items from CPC Farnell which are similar to Rapid but tend to have a different and slightly wider choice of goodies. Most of my orders over £18 , if order before lunch are delivered next day. Picked up a set of 4 pin vices for £ 3.50 . All metal and seem ok so far. Quality ok in my estimation, maybe if I was doing high precision work I would spend more.

Been playing !

Ball adjustment very stiff, but getting easier as I use it.

Useful pice of kit, I have just “”Dremel-ed”” a couple if Din 5 pin male plugs pins for soldering.

I read that grinding the pins flat ( just under half thickness) made tinning and soldering the wires much easier.

Once the angle was correct, grinding and soldering was a doddle , even by my standards.

I bought this on ebay a few months ago only £5. It is not top of the range and only rotates does not have ball adjustment but it has done everything I needed to do so far.
