Bridge Rectifier with no markings ?
Re: Bridge Rectifier with no markings ?
the physical size are the same, DF005S-DF10S have the same dimensions, if you want fun to solder try an smd transistor 2mm x 1mm

The image on the adverts appears to have a 'rounded' edge betweeh the + and ~ edge- threre is your location or 'ident'.collectors wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 12:59 pmUnfortunately they came loose in a single sealed packet not in a bandolier roll. But they still have the same image on the add.scratchbuilt wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 9:58 am Is there a 'dimple' next to one of the legs on either side of the package~
Its not unusual at all for many components NOT to have marking or just discreet dimples, or 'codes; which have no seeming relationship to the part number , they are sent from manufacturers in bandolier rolls and they are 'keyed' to the SMD mounting machine itself. They are self aligning and the manufacturer / user doesnt have to worry which way round they are. They are not for the amateur unless you know what you are doing , get a test meter out and measure each pin to each pin on the diode function- 5 minutes you will have sussed it.
Is one edge of the package slightly curved as in 'chamferred'. What is the Ebay link for the seller, what part number are the sold as, ?

.
Look at a datasheet......
http://html.alldatasheet.com/html-pdf/3 ... DF06S.html , the chamfer or rounded edge is clearly indicated and the pins identification follows...

Re: Bridge Rectifier with no markings ?
Just plug it in.
The diode will only work one way.
If you wire it up back to front you have no output.
If you wire it up correct with A.C. it doesn’t matter which way.
The rectifier does the rest.
You’ll get the correct output.

Re: Bridge Rectifier with no markings ?
You cant just plug it in as its a soldered Surface Mount Device (SMD). Looking at the SMD rectifier, does it have chamfer along one side? If so relate that to the drawing provided in post #12 by by scratchbuilt above.

Crocodile clips from load and a multimeter.
Test bed.
Plug it in! (Or hook it up? Etc.)
Sorry I didn’t explain myself fully.
If you don’t have these (but would assume you did given the part involved)
tack tinned wire on all four pins.

Longer Legs, Corners cut off, look at PCB work it out from Diods, Dimples ....Good evens,,,I am glad I am not an Electrition......
If only there was enough hours in the day..................John
